4 Stitches Per Inch

Looking for a sewing machine that will go down to 4 stitches per inch--preferably something economical. I've got an old heavy metal Singer from the early 1990s that I do most of my sewing on--I like to keep it simple--but it only goes down to 6 stitches per inch.

If it's not stitching right, check the timing, tension, and it might just need a tune-up.
